An enhanced RecordkeeperDirect participant online experience
At Capital Group, home of American Funds, we pride ourselves on continually reinvesting in our retirement plan programs, so you and your participants can benefit from cutting-edge technology and improved support and features. To that end, we’re excited to announce we’ve made new updates to the participant online experience for RecordkeeperDirect® plans.

At the core of these updates is a redesigned participant website with a new, modern look, built for easier navigation using principles based on research of participant online behavior. The new site also features a responsive design to optimize the website presentation for devices of varying screen sizes.
The enhanced participant experience also includes:
- An improved mobile app with all the functionality of the website, including the ability to request distributions, manage communication preferences and view tax forms
- An enhanced “Quick enrollment” feature that now allows Roth contributions within the online enrollment process
- A new retirement goals calculator that allows participants to set savings goals and monitor their progress over time
- A new participant help center to provide ongoing self-service resources around account management
- Direct access to ICanRetire®, our online engagement program, so participants can get a customized action plan and access other educational content
- A simplified process for resetting web credentials
These updates will appear automatically when participants access the desktop version of their accounts. Participants will need to download the latest mobile app update to access the new features in the app.
Please note that if you use the “View as participant” link from the third-party administrator website, the site will continue to present the legacy participant website experience for a short period of time. We anticipate this will be updated later this year.
