  8. Q: How do I invest with American Funds?
    A:
We believe that a financial adviser’s guidance is essential to successful financial planning. This is why you can only open an account with us through a financial adviser. Your financial adviser can provide you with an application and other information you’ll need to get started. For example, your financial adviser can help:

    • determine your investment goals, time frame and tolerance for risk
    • assess your financial circumstances to help you select investments that are right for you
    • complete and forward the application(s) to us
    • review your confirmation statement, which you would receive within a few days after your account is activated

Please call us for assistance with locating a financial adviser in your area.
